Mail Services:

Located on the lower level of O'Connor Campus Center, Mail Services provides internal mail services for students, faculty, staff and administration as well as operating a contract station of the United States Postal Service, known as Colgate Station. Postage for professional correspondence is usually paid by the University or charged to a department. Official University mail entering the U.S. Postal system must be marked to identify the appropriate department or account to be charged for the postage costs. Personal correspondence sent through the USPS must be stamped before placing in outgoing mail.

Colgate Station is the area where all students receive mail and incoming packages. The Station provides postal services such as money orders, registered mail, certified mail, parcel post and the sale of all postal supplies.

In addition to the U.S. mail, University Mail Services distributes official University mail and notices to departments, employees and students. Outgoing mail and interoffice communications are picked up and delivered to the University twice a day. This service is designed to provide an efficient internal distribution system for University business correspondence. It is not the intent of this system to provide distribution of personal correspondence. Other campus sources are available for personal communication. For example, employees may use the Personnel Advisory Council, or submit letters for publication in the Open 'Gate or student newspapers to express personal opinions. Questions or concerns regarding whether or not specific campus mail meets the criteria as official University business my be directed to the office of the Dean of Faculty/Provost.
