The chapter has met all expectations and requirements of the Relationship Statement and has exceeded the Standards of Excellence in all areas outlined by the Chapter Operations Manual. Chapter is recognized for excellence over a continuous period of time. The chapter enjoys all university privileges as outlined in the Chapter Operations Manual.

Full Recognition with Merit:
The chapter has met all expectations and requirements of the Relationship Statement and has exceeded the standards of excellence in more than one area as outlined by the Chapter Operations Manual. Chapter enjoys all university privileges as outlined in the Chapter Operations Manual.
Phi Delta Theta (2003; 2005)
Full Recognition:
The chapter may function on campus, receive University privileges, enroll Colgate students as members and be associated with the University. The chapter has met all of the basic requirements of the Relationship Statement and has demonstrated progress towards achieving the Standards of Excellence outlined in the Chapter Operations Manual.

Conditional Recognition:
The chapter has met all expectations and requirements of full recognition except of minor points. Full recognition is withheld until the minor points are successfully addressed in a time frame set by the review committee. Examples of situations that may result in this status are missing paperwork or minor house repairs.
Delta Upsilon (2003; 2004) remains at Conditional because chapter house is not consistently evacuated when the fire system is activated
Full Recognition with Warning:
The chapter maintains full recognition but is warned that continued failure to meet the criteria for recognition or additional violations will result in a more serious sanction. The warning will be in effect for a minimum of one semester. Examples of situations that result in this status include significant and repeated failure to comply with the provisions of the Chapter Operations Manual.
Probationary Recognition:
The chapter is recognized by the University, but is placed on probation for a specific period of time during which specified chapter privileges and activities may be revoked. Probationary recognition ordinarily will be in effect for a minimum of one semester. Examples of situations which may result in this status include: failure to redress the conditions leading to recognition with warning in an earlier review, the accumulation of multiple warnings, and violations of the alcohol, and sexual misconduct or harassment policies.

Suspended Recognition:
Recognition is suspended for a specified period of time during which the chapter house is closed. All activities in that chapter are suspended and chapter privileges are revoked. Examples of situations which may result in this status include: Failure to redress conditions leading to probationary recognition, flagrant violations of the alcohol policy, violation of the hazing policy, and failure to meet the requirements for insurance.

Beta Theta Pi (2003; 2004) suspended for academic year 2003-04
Permanent Withdrawal of Recognition:
Recognition is withdrawn permanently. The chapter house is closed and all chapter operations cease. Examples of situations which may result in this status include : Failure to redress conditions leading to suspended recognition, acts of violence, rape, sexual assault, flagrant violations of membership procedures, hazing and alcohol policies, and repeated chapter violations over time.
