As part of our campus diversity, we embrace disability; this includes members of our community who have disabilities as well as the study of disability and its many forms as areas for discussion and inquiry. We bring speakers to campus who can speak to disability issues, such as John Ratey '70 who spent the "Brain Day" in Fall 2001 speaking about ADHD. Many students find opportunities within their courses to explore disability issues, especially in the departments of educational studies and psychology where they have conducted research on learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, among many others.
