Homeownership Center

The Center provides economic development assistance for struggling neighborhoods and seeks to stabilize the city by encouraging cooperation and collaboration between community-based groups.  The Utica Field School fellow will be working with program staff to conduct an asset map of several Utica neighborhoods. The intern will conduct interviews and meetings with community activists & civic minded citizens to accurately map the resources within two areas of Utica, both formally recognized agencies and more informal, grassroots resources that lend support to its citizens.  The map will be used to identity under-leveraged community assets and create partnerships between them.
