ROSE NOVAK I’ve been the Office Manager of Counseling & Psychological Services (C&PS) since 1986. To put those seventeen years in perspective, the members of the class of 2007 were a mere one-year-old at that time. Certainly, a lot has changed since then, not only for those one-year- olds and me, but for C&PS as well. Counseling & Psychological Services has evolved and developed into a vital and proactive service that is committed to meeting the ever-changing needs of Colgate students. It has been my privilege to be a part of that evolution. I am originally from northeastern Ohio. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education from Kent State University and taught on the secondary school level for two years near Pullman, Washington before the birth of my first child. I am the mother of two grown daughters. I was a stay-at-home mom for about 13 years. In the early 80s, I re-entered the workplace (this time at Colgate as part of the support staff), working half-time for a few years and later becoming full-time in 1989. What I enjoy most are spending time with my family and friends and cocker spaniel named Bailey, cooking, gardening, reading, and working out at Colgate’s Fitness Center. As the initial point of contact at Counseling & Psychological Services, I look forward to greeting and meeting all of you who seek assistance at C&PS.
