A waste is any solid, liquid, or contained gaseous material that is discarded by beinging disposed of, burned or incinerated, or recycled. There are some exceptions for recycled materials. The waste can be a by-product of a laboratory operation or process or a commercial reagent or product that is no longer wanted or needed.
