Barbara
Roback
Associate Director
Barbara has worked in the career development field for seven years. She counsels and advises students of all
class years and alumni in career exploration, networking, resume, cover letter,
and interview preparation, and internship, job, and graduate school searches. Barbara coordinates the annual Nonprofit Career Fair with Hamilton College and
the “Doing Well by Doing Good” program with the COVE, and represents Colgate in
their consortia work for the Teacher Recruitment Days. She earned her Master of
International Business at the University of South Carolina and her Bachelor of
Arts in Inter-American Studies from the State University of New York at Albany. Her educational experience included study abroad in Bogota, Colombia, and an
internship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Barbara’s previous work experience
was International Internal Auditing, Tax Consulting, and Public Relations.

Ann Landstrom
Associate Director
Ann is the Fellowships, Scholarships, and Graduate School Advisor which includes law school and health sciences advising. Ann has been working professionally in higher education since 1991 in the areas of career services, undergraduate and graduate admissions, residential life, and alumni relations. She received her master’s degree in Counseling and Student Personnel from Minnesota State University, Mankato and her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Journalism from South Dakota State University.
When not in the office you will find Ann spending time with her daughter Sydney and partner Corey, and attending events on campus from music events to hockey games. She teaches a power toning fitness class for faculty and administrators, and volunteers for her daughter's activities and teaches 2nd grade Sunday school. Ann has been employed in the Center for Career Services at Colgate since Fall 2003.

Chip Schroder
Associate Director
Chip Schroder came to Colgate in August 2004 as Associate Director of Career Services, in charge of Employer Relations. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with organizations in a diversity of sectors for recruiting Colgate students for employment. Additionally, he runs Colgate’s formal recruiting programs and advises students to equip them with life skills for future career prospects.
Prior to joining Colgate, Chip was a Regional Sales Manager for Rivel Research Group, in Westport, CT. Before that, he worked as a Vice President of Institutional Mutual Fund Sales at Gabelli Asset Management Company in Rye, NY. Prior to joining Gabelli, Chip worked as a Registered Representative for Dean Witter in Syracuse where he grew up, and for Lehman Brothers in New York. He received a BS in Finance from Manhattan College. When not working with employers and Colgate students, Chip enjoys spending time with his wife Jean, and their two young daughters and son.
David Loveless
Assistant Director
David is in his fifth year in the Center for Career Services. Prior to joining the staff he was an intern for the Dean of the College staff at Colgate University. David now focuses on individual student appointments, advising the Career Assistants and Peer Advisors, working with off-campus recruiting programs, and facilitating many on campus programs and workshops. David has a B.A. from St. Michael’s College.

Teresa Olsen
Assistant Director
Teresa graduated from Colby College in 2001 with a B.A. in Spanish and Human Development. She began her career in student affairs working at Colby with Campus Compact/AmeriCorps*VISTA for one year before accepting a position as Outreach/Marketing Coordinator with Dartmouth College Career Services. Teresa then completed her M.S. in Higher Education/Student Affairs Administration at Indiana University. At IU she worked in career development, judicial affairs/sexual assault advocacy, and with the IU Foundation. Teresa now serves as the Assistant Director for Summer Learning Experiences at Colgate, which incorporates working with students from first-year through graduation on all career-related issues. Her research interests include Millennial generation career decision-making, translating liberal arts into the world of work, work-life balance, career development for student-athletes, and career development with underrepresented populations, especially GLBTQA students. Teresa lives in Deerfield, NY with her husband, Patrick, son, Colin, and cat, Boo. They are avid outdoor enthusiasts.
