Your Role

As a parent of a Colgate student, you may be interested in steps you might take to help your own daughter and/or son prepare for a career.

Help your student develop a plan - we have created a general timeline which provides a list of targeted outcomes that will assist your son or daughter plan for a career.

How your daughter or son can become more competitive - what a student needs to do while at Colgate to make herself or himself competitive for graduate school and employment opportunities.

As an interested parent, we invite you to participate in The Colgate Connection. Supported by Colgate's Society of Families and Alumni Corporation Board of Directors and coordinated by the Center for Career Services, The Colgate Connection is a group of 3000+ parent and alumni volunteers who, though the programs and resources listed below, offer opportunities for students and alumni for exploring career options and making professional contacts. If you are interested in learning more about participating in the Colgate Connection, please let us know.

Any support, whether tangible job or internship leads, career information, insightful strategies, or words of encouragement, can be of tremendous help to students. The following are specific ways we encourage you to participate in the Colgate career network.
