Recruiting at Colgate University - A Guide to Policies and Services
On-Campus Recruiting
Organizations interested in hiring Colgate students are invited to visit campus to interview students. Employers may pre-select student candidates to fill interview schedules, identifying the best possible talent suited for each position. Our on-campus recruiting season takes place each fall (October and November) and spring (January to April).
The services we provide to all on-campus
recruiters are the following:
- Assist in organizing your information session by reserving appropriate rooms
and A/V equipment as well as connecting you with caterers should you wish to
include a reception in your presentation.
- Market your position to all students through Career Services’ publications and
on-line resources
- Provide you with private and comfortable interview space
- Present you with an interview packet to include a parking pass, your schedule,
and student evaluation forms
- Offer lunch with a Career Services staff member on your interview day either
in our office or at other campus dining facilities
- Meet with a Career Services staff member for interview wrap-up and questions
at the end of the day
If there is anything else we can provide during your visit, please let us know.
Resume Collects
Companies and organizations that do not conduct campus recruiting visits may receive Colgate students' resumes based upon anticipated hiring needs.
Job Listings
Employment opportunities and company literature are listed on our databases. We publish an email newsletter, eJobfinder, which is accessible to all students and alumni.
