Reflections on Curricular and Co-Curricular Programs

Read this assignment closely.

Take an hour to think about what courses you have taken in Environmental Studies: what books and papers you have read; what papers you have written; what analytical and problem-solving skills you have grasped.  Also consider other experiences at Colgate that  have contributed to your understanding of the environment and environmental issues. 

Take another hour (or 2 hours, or 30 minutes) to reflect on your original intellectual goals in environmental studies, and your current goals in environmental studies.

How have the two matched up?  That is, how have your original and current interests in the study of the environment been expressed in, or enhanced by your curricular as well as your co-curricular program(s) at Colgate?

Prepare an essay of 3-5 pages in which you reflect upon these questions, thoughtfully, carefully, critically (including self-critically), making sure to cite those pieces of published scholarship that contributes to both your scholarly perspective and self-assessment.
