Research has shown that for mental health professionals working in areas with large Black and ethnic minority populations, adequate training and continuing supervision are essential in providing culturally acceptable services. It seems as though local multidisciplinary training is the most suitable method of integrating training and supervision and developing culturally appropriate services.
